Technip Energies Signs Two Five-Year Long-Term Agreements With Saudi Aramco for FEED and Brownfield EPC Support

Technip Energies has reportedly signed two new five-year long-term agreements (LTAs) with Saudi Aramco.

The agreements reportedly consist of a FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and PMC (Project Management Consultancy) contract covering energy, downstream, petrochemical and low-carbon projects, and a brownfield upgrade EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract covering the refurbishment, expansion and modernization of existing onshore facilities. Aramco is reported to have awarded similar long-term agreements, including this one with Technip Energies, to more than 20 contractors.

Both agreements reportedly run for five years, and the specific contract values have not been disclosed. The agreements were announced in August 2026, it is reported.

The long-term agreements are viewed as part of Aramco’s effort to build long-term partnerships with major engineering firms to steadily advance a wide range of downstream and low-carbon projects, it is reported.

An operator securing a project pipeline in advance through long-term agreements with multiple engineering firms, rather than running separate tenders for each individual project, is seen as a case that can improve the predictability of order intake for the engineering and construction industry.

Whether the scale and timing of individual projects to be awarded under this LTA become confirmed is worth watching.
