Doosan Enerbility Wins EPC Contract for 1,700MW Misfah CCGT Plant in Oman Worth About KRW 930 Billion

Doosan Enerbility has announced that it signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract to build a 1,700MW CCGT (Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine) power plant in Misfah, Oman. The contract is valued at approximately KRW 930 billion, and the company will carry out the project in consortium with China’s SEPCO-3, it is reported.

Doosan Enerbility announced on August 21 that it had signed an EPC contract with a consortium of project owners to build a gas-fired combined-cycle power plant in Misfah, located about 20 kilometers west of Muscat, the capital of Oman. The project owner is reported to be a consortium led by Qatar’s Nebras Power, together with a development and investment subsidiary of the UAE’s Etihad Water & Electricity, and Oman’s Bahwan Infrastructure Services. Doosan Enerbility formed a consortium with SEPCO-3, a power plant construction specialist, to carry out the full engineering, procurement and construction process, and will directly manufacture and supply core equipment including the steam turbine and generator, it is reported. The gas turbines for the plant will be supplied by Siemens Energy, with six F-class gas turbines, six generators, and a 20-year long-term service agreement (LTSA) included in the arrangement, according to reports.
