SNT Energy Signs KRW 128.1 Billion HRSG Supply Contract with Korea Southern Power for LNG Combined Cycle Plant

South Korea’s SNT Energy has signed a contract worth approximately KRW 128.1 billion with Korea Southern Power (KOSPO) to supply a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) for an LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) combined cycle power plant, it is reported. The contract period runs from September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2029.

Under the contract, SNT Energy will supply a heat recovery steam generator for an LNG combined cycle power plant being developed by Korea Southern Power, with the contract value reported to represent 21.14 percent of SNT Energy’s recent revenue. An HRSG is a core piece of equipment in combined cycle power generation, recovering heat from high-temperature gas turbine exhaust to produce steam used to drive a steam turbine.

The contract value is approximately KRW 128.1 billion, representing 21.14 percent of SNT Energy’s recent revenue. The contract period runs from September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2029, and the equipment supplied is an HRSG for an LNG combined cycle power plant.

The contract, under which a domestic power equipment manufacturer supplies core equipment for Korea Southern Power’s LNG combined cycle capacity expansion, is reported to reflect ongoing investment in gas combined cycle power facilities by state-run power generation companies.

As new construction and expansion of LNG combined cycle power plants continue, opportunities for domestic power equipment manufacturers to win orders for core equipment such as heat recovery steam generators could continue.
