Doosan Enerbility Wins KRW 900 Billion EPC Contract for Vietnam’s O Mon 4 Combined-Cycle Power Plant

South Korea’s Doosan Enerbility has reportedly won the EPC contract for the O Mon 4 combined-cycle gas power plant project ordered by Vietnam’s state energy group Petrovietnam, in a consortium with Vietnamese firm PECC2 (Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2). The contract is valued at approximately KRW 900 billion (about $661 million), with the plant targeted for completion in 2028.

The O Mon 4 plant is a 1,155MW-class combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant being built in the Can Tho area near Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam. Doosan Enerbility will reportedly supply two Mitsubishi Power M701JAC gas turbines and handle major equipment supply, construction, and integrated commissioning. PECC2 is reportedly responsible for local construction and engineering. Once completed, the plant will supply power to the national grid.

The EPC contract is reportedly valued at approximately KRW 900 billion (about $661 million), with the plant’s installed capacity at 1,155MW and completion targeted for 2028. The plant is expected to use two Mitsubishi Power M701JAC-class gas turbines.
